Present for friend on complete bedrest in the hospital?

My friend has been placed on complete bedrest due to incompetent cervix at just 26 weeks she isnt due until August and has to remain in the hospital bed! I know she's terribly bored. Do you have any suggestions on a few little things I can get for her? Like crosswords but I dont know what else...

How about some of those hand held computer games... like Yatzee. And go buy about 5-6 new magazines of what you think she would like... cooking, gardening, hair, etc.

Other than that... something creative would be good. People get sick of reading. Go buy her a book on making balloons animals and the special balloons.

Our local hospital has a DVD player in most rooms... you could get her some movies... even if you only rented them for her, since she won't be able to get out.

I think a portable dvd player and a laptop would be awesome. Also it would be really great of you if you would find out what movies she wanted to watch and go and rent them for her and if possible spend a lot of time with her watching movies, laughing, doing her nails, hair or whatever. Your presence will make a huge difference and probably make your friendship closer.

Go to a craft store and get her crafts she can do. Small embroidery projects like Christmas ornaments that don't require any sort of special know-how, a paint-by-number, or some kind of jewelry making maybe.

    You're a thoughtful friend.

give her a pedicure and manicure....or if you have the money hire a manicurist to do it...she'll get a kick out of it...there is this neat little thing you can get at walmart that lets you hear the baby's heart at home....she can bond with her baby...or get her a good book.
