Do all of the commentary's have the value of a denarius wrong?

They all say that it is a day's wage based on Matthew 20:2 but they have missed the point of the story. When Jesus feed the five thousand two hundred denarii was not enough to buy food for them. Can you feed twenty five men for a days pay?

Where I live, the minimum wage for a labourer is something like €20 per day - or a bit less. In Jesus' time, there was no concept of a minimum wage so it was probably rather less.

€20 where I live would buy about ten loaves of bread. While I suppose that would be enough to give 25 men something to take the edge off their hunger, it would hardly feed them - and remember that the five thousand just referred to the men. There were probably also 5,000 women, and many more children.
