HOW CAN I STOP MESSENGER TURNING ON AUTOMATICALLY WHEN I TURN ON THE COMPUTER?

I installed the new version a couple of weeks ago. The site comes on automatically as soon as I turn my computer on. How can I choose to get into Messenger when I want to,and not when it wants to? Thanks.

Try running msconfig from your run prompt.

There is a tab in this built in windows app for startup programs and you can simply click which ones you want to start with windows and which ones you don't
