When I saw my ex bf after 20 years, I literally ran out of the restaurant. He was mentally and verbally abusive, and I had gained 30 lbs. (was pregnant). All the memories of his abusive behavior triggered my memory of him and I guessed what he was thinking.
I always get nervous around him, feeling like the 17 year old he dated. My guess with your ex bf had old memories that were triggered when he saw you.

If he's acting like he's angry and he's being mean to you, it's safe to say that he doesn't like you. You haven't described any behavior that looks like it's immature - he's entitled to dislike you.
