My new HP laptop with Windows 8.1 constantly does the blue screen thread not handled shut down.?

When it gets done rebooting I have no wireless connection for a good 15 minutes. I have to constantly try to find a wireless connection even though there are over a dozen connections in my neighborhood. The computer gives me the no connections available even though the connection I always use had a 5 bar reception before the thread shut down. How do I fix this obnoxious pain in the butt problem?

It can be caused by many things but the most likely is a faulty driver.
You can probably identify which one using Event Viewer.

As it is wireless that gives you problems afterwards then possibly it is the wireless adapter driver. Go to Device Manager. Find the Wireless adapter and Update Driver Software.
