Have you ever worked in a retail place as a sales person or a cashier and thought a customer was pathetic because of what they chose to buy?

......what they chose to buy from the place where you were an employee? Stuff like maybe

- licorice scented envelopes
- the worst beer in the world
- a Mitt Romney mask for Halloween
- a men's thong-type bathing suit
- a book about how to win at blackjack
- some baseball cards signed by Pete Rose, but not-authenticated
- cheap costume jewelry
- hazelnuts in a package that says the expiration date was 3 months ago
- a old tattered book about the top ten Vice Presidents since 1876

Or other items you'd never ever want to own yourself?

Yes of course, but since the customer is always right and I want to make a sale it doesn't bother me that much.

I've worked retail and sales at stores and restaurants for years... and I've never judged someone... I rarely even paid attention to what I was scanning.. I mostly just stared at the time on my screen counting down the hours till I can clock out.
