If I'm hosting the baby shower, do I buy a gift too?

I'm hosting a co-ed luncheon baby shower for my girlfriend and her husband. It'll be a full lunch and cake type thing. Do I still get them a baby shower gift, or let them go? I've never hosted a shower before, so I'm completely clueless. We won't be doing gifts, since she is having a c-section it will be a fill the freezer shower (freezer and crockpot meals).

You could offer the service of babysitting once Mom and Dad feel up to going out without Baby. Or some housekeeping help for after Baby arrives.

Not sure how having a c section means you cant gove actual gifts, but if its what Mom and Dad are ok with, then go ahead and fill that freezer.

If you are hosting the shower, maybe just a small token gift, like a photo album or frame?

You aren't doing gifts, only food. I'd say of course you should bring a food item for her.

No, don't. Just don't say anything.
