I got a Job offer Via text. Is it a scam? They know the position I applied for and it tells me to respond promptly.?

However it doesn't say what company it's for. And it has a California area code. I live in New York. I've recently been applying for jobs. I want it to be real because it sounds like exactly what I'm looking for. But my gut tells me it's a scam. However I'm not sure. There is an email address it tells me to respond to. The messages starts off by saying "Hello I hope this beautiful day finds that you are doing well". To me that a weird way to introduce a job offer message. Also they messaged me at 6:40 am on a Saturday also unprofessional. I see A lot of red flags with this but then again how would the know the position I applied for? Is it real or a scam?

It's definitely a scam. Block the number and delete the message.

Its a scam. NO real employers offer jobs by text. No company would ever send out a text with that sort of message anyway

They probably also asked for a lot of personal information. Sounds like a scam.

I would be very suspicious of that. If you didn't apply for a position in California then I wouldn't bother responding to it.
