The Sabbath is on the seventh day of the week, which is Saturday. It starts on the eve of Saturday [or Friday evening] and ends on the eve of Sunday.

Sunday became the state-sanctioned church's "official" day of worship of the then new church, the Roman Catholic Church, when Emperor Constantine declared it to be so. He was the high priest of Sol Invictus, a pagan religion that worshipped the sun on Sunday!

And people continue to follow that same decree for over 1,700 years now without even knowing why... Get it?

According to the Catholic Church, the Sabbath is sunset Fri to sunset Sat (quoting Scripture) - and it is the only Sabbath... there is no such thing as a ~Sunday Sabbath~.

The Reformation was a failure - they maintained the traditions of man from the Catholic history.

Interesting tidbit - read the Bible to find out when Jesus rose from the tomb... it does not say when - it does NOT say Sunday. All it says is that by the time the disciples arrived at the tomb of the first day of the week (Sunday to pagans), the stone was already rolled away and He had already risen. i.e. sometime before... but it does not say when, it does not say ~Easter Sunday~ - oooo, there's a double abomination: both "Easter" & "Sunday" are pagan terms!

According to scripture, it is the 7th day which is Saturday. Jewish persons and 7th Day Adventists still worship on Saturday. After the resurection of Christ however, the Christian churches that were formed met on Sundays. In 1 Cor. 16:1-2, Paul instructs the church to meet on the first day, which is of course Sunday, just as it is on our calendar now. But as believers in Christ, we are free to worship on any day of the week, but need to make sure we take our rest day.

Easter is on Sunday and easter is celebrated because Jesus rose again on the 3rd day. that's why they broke the legs of the other 2 that died with him because it was against their beleife to keep people on the cross on the sabbath and he rose again on Sunday, therefore the sabbath day is on Sunday.

    Roman 14:5

One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. (NIV)

Hebrew 4:7 Therefore God again set a certain day, calling it Today, when a long time later he spoke through David, as was said before: "Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts." (NIV)

The special day of the New Covenant is called - "Today"

Thus, everyday is special when it comes... and it is a day to listen to the Spirit of Jesus... instead of resisting him.
