Yes, that movie was a classic. I don't know why you would do a remake of something that was so good in the first place. Unless it's a marketing scam to sell more of the original on dvd, somewhat like some people claim the New Coke was.

I preferred Johnny Depp in the role of Willy Wonka, but I liked the old oompa-loompa's better (songs included)

New Charlie, it is more detailed. The oompa loompas aren't as freaky. : ) Plus it's got Johnny Depp added bonus.

There was no need to remake it! The first one was the ultimate guilty pleasure.
