Why are people so racist towards blondes, and call them dumb?

I hope you're not a blonde, because if you did, you just made your own point. BLONDE is not a RACE.

First of all, blondes are not a race. I think part of their reputation comes from the fact that so many of them work very hard to perpetuate the stereotype of the ditzy blonde by acting the part. This may go all the way back to Marilyn Monroe and the fact that men fell over in her presence as they do nowadays with Pamela Anderson. And since 99% of the blondes hair color comes out of a bottle it is obvious that this is an image that these women want. Is this dumb or just another one of the multitude of things women do to be noticed? I wonder where the term "attention whore" comes from.

Blonde is not a race buddy. I don't think all blonde-haired people are dumb. I just think all the blonde-haired people that use bleach 1-5 times a week are dumb. I was married to a natural blonde for a good while, he was smarter than me, and I am a brunette. I think redheads are idiots though. Mainly because my younger sister is a redhead. That’s not to say all male blondes are smart. Look at Lance Bass! And my best friend is a male blonde and none to bright.

It's not racist to make dumb blonde jokes. It's stupid. Every generation has its focus for jokes. Back in the 60's it was Polish jokes and little moron jokes. In the 70's it was black jokes. I'm not sure what it was in the 80's, but I'm sure some group of people somewhere was getting joked about. And in the 90's it was blonde jokes. I suppose no one wanted to be politically incorrect and make jokes about some ethnic group of folks somewhere, so they picked on blondes. And blondes didn't help any either, often coming up with the worst. Being a blonde myself, I don't let it bother me. Sometimes I actually have a little fun with it when I'm being especially forgetful. Instead of blaming it on old age, I can just blame it on my "roots"! I've always heard it said that when they're laughing at me, they're leaving someone else alone. So, go ahead, laugh. And I'll laugh too. <*)))><

Blonde is not a race. It's a hair color. Since people think blondes are pretty, they don't look past it, and see if they have a brain. And since it's easier to be pretty and use ur sexuality,instead of using brains and being smart, that's what blondes use. They take the easy way out. And seeing how the admiration follows the ditzy blondes, others dye their hair and follow suit.

Racist is discriminating against someone because of his race, like a Caucasian, Asian, and so forth.

Although becoming more rare, we natural blondes are not a race!

Actually, I'm not bothered at all by the "dumb blonde" jokes; I think many are cute. I'm secure enough in myself that I know who I am. In fact, the blondes who really give the impression of being dumb are artificial blondes, anyway.

However, the origins go back to the 1930s, when Hollywood stars like Jean Harlow, dyed their hair artificially blonde. Obviously, it didn't look real at all, and those actresses tended to play characters that weren't too bright; hence, the term "dumb blonde" arose.

It all started in Hollywood. They wanted the blonde women to portray the sexy dumb gal and be easy. Look at Marilyn Monroe and Jane Mansfield. They are both dead because of wanting to make it big when actually they were very smart women. There is ignorance in all hair colors .

1 - calling a blonde dumb is not racism. blonde is not a race.

2 - i do not know why people call blondes dumb and tell blonde jokes. i've known many intelligent blondes, men and women. and there are plenty of idiots out there that aren't blonde.

3 - most of the people that we see walking around that are blonde, aren't really blonde. they bleach their hair.

Because only a dumb blonde would call blondes a race.

If most blonds didn't try to act dumb(Jessica Simpson) people wouldn't call them dumb. It's too bad the other smart blonds have to pay for it too. It's one of those stero-type things. Also, being blonde isn't a race, lol.

Because they are not blonde. Most people think the people who are diferent with them are below them. Racism is a form of social ill, come from Satan.
