Ok, a myth riddle about cowboys.....?

If you saw three men riding in a single cab pick-up truck and only one was a cowboy...which one would he be....Hmmmmm?

    The one in the middle. First, he doesn't have to drive. Second, he doesn't have to mess with the gate.
