Why is Krishna a "false god" and Christ and the Biblical God are "true gods"?
People start this stuff about how all gods are false except for the one that they believe to have said, "Do not worship any god but me." Well, what if Krishna had said, "Do not worship any god besides me or bow down to any other god"?
What makes yours "true" and mine "false"?

There is only the One, Who is called by many names in many ways, no one better or above another. Those who believe are blessed regardless of how they name the One, or what fashion they give devotion to the One; for there is nothing before and nothing after except the One, all else is an illusion, that never was and never will; only in this moment can you exist, then gone by and yet to be. Call God by any name you wish, God is, was, and shall be always the One.

God is a word. The word God has been used throughout history to describe the unknown. No person can have any knowledge of god; if they did, it wouldn't be god anymore because it would be known. To believe in god you must have faith, which is exactly the same as simply supposing something is true.
So, the reason Christ and the bible represent the "true god", and Krishna is a false god, is because we suppose that's the case. In truth, all religions and all concepts of god are wrong. Except mine of course, because I know that I have no knowledge about god.

bibilic god is too narrow minded.
there is no such thing as false or true god. besides saying jesus said so and he is god is mere idolworship no matter what anyone says.this idolworship is not even of god rather a social idolatory.
i say there is only one god. that i can undestand. but if i say there is one true god and many false gods, it means i an accepting there are more than one god. one of them better or true and others false. so how can anyone ever be sure that his god is the true one? to say jesus said so is irrational for it is just his word agaist mine.
regarding richbro's post:
krishna was never in a grave .and what i hear about jesus i doubt he did went to his grave after crucificaion . there is a story about saint Kabeer in india. he was very popular among hindus and muslims alike. he was quite a revolutionary and openly criticied anything in either relegious practices if he did not like that.Anyway when he died both sects wanted to crement him according to their ritual. it is said when finally the sroud was uncovered there were only flowers and dead body had disappeared. many devotees said that he went heaven with his body. so this miracle is greater than coming out of grave.the story is much recent and nicer for Kabeer left behind legacy of tolerance and logic.

That's a great question. Basically, you have entered the world of subjectivity. As the first answer posted shows, it all comes down to what people BELIEVE.
It seems most people simply adopt the beliefs of their culture, community, family. This seems to be a normal human response to the world: the easiest most comfortable path.
Instead of going to a library or to the Internet and researching world views, religions and philosophies and then making a rational decision on the merits of each as to which is most sensible, fair, rational and just, most people do something much simpler, less stressful.
Many if not most people allow themselves to be indoctrinated into whatever world view is most sociably acceptable in their corner of the world. It's not really that different than language acquisition when you think about it. One learns the language in which everyone around you converses. So it follows, one learns the world view in which everyone around you believes.
But as for Krishna and which God is true or false, that is all hearsay. It all depends on whom you ask. There is no logic to the pronouncements of Christians or Jews or any other 'believer' for that matter when they say theirs is the one true God. They are simply arguing in circles about whose opinion and whose spiritual experience is more authentic and legitimate. Baloney!
For instance I could write a book about a God called the FLYING SPAGHETTI MONSTER in the sky and start a church called the CHURCH OF THE FLYING SPAGHETTI MONSTER (oops, too late, see below). In the book I could write that the FSM exists and is the only true deity. And from then on, when anyone asks why I'm so certaint, I'll just point to the book. When questioned as to its authority in such matters, I'll explain that I didn't write it but rather the FSM wrote it through me. It is therefore inspired text.
In short, people agree to be fooled together about Gods and Demons and Ghosts and Spirits and Angels and Santa Claus and The Boogie Man. The frightening thing is that soooooo many people have agreed to let themselves be fooled in this way that they have forgotten all about the word OBJECTIVITY. Instead, their mass delusions of supernatural magical savior beings in the sky and their wishful thinking that death is something more than oblivion has led many to become insanely prideful, covetous and violently protective of their foolish beliefs.
These kinds of people are called Fundamentalists. It is basically a cult. Fundamentalists arise in every religion when their agreement to be fooled begins to fall apart in the face of reality and knowledge and the conflicting evidence of other sincere people.
Happily, some people don't agree to be fooled. They're called agnostics and atheists.

All gods are false except for G-d.
It's just central to my belief system that there can only be one G-d. If you believed in just 1 G-d, we would be worshipping the same G-d. But that G-d cannot be more than one.
My goal in life is to know a G-d that is unknowable. I agree that it is impossible to know G-d - it's just that that doesn't mean we can't try.

I agree... to a different degree. Krishna and the God of the Book could both be "true Gods", but I don't see Jesus as God. Just as prophet.
To How dare I: You are free to do as you please. You choose your faith/it chooses you.

The one true God from the Bible said so. And because Krishna never said it, God did. Jesus alone took on Satan and defeated him over 2000 years ago. Lets see any other god try to beat that track record.

Whatever name the unseen creator and sustianer of universe is called, he is God. When some says that a person is God's reincarnation, it is upon them to prove that he is really God's reincarnation, and not upon others why he is not God's reincarnation. As a Muslim, I do not believe that God reincarnate and comes to this world.

Because the Biblical God's Spirit, rose Jesus, from the dead.
His bones are absent from the grave!
Krishna's bones are still in his.
As well as all others!

Lots of good answers, and lot of stupid, simplistic, thoughtless ones. Christianity urges people to have "faith", and promises infinite rewards for doing so, and infinite punishment for not doing so. Christianity doesn't appeal to logic or reason. The bible teaches that "the lord works in mysterious ways". Mysterious means unknown. For thousands of years the christian church has been shown to be wrong, and has prepetuated evil. How can they dare to claim to have the one true god.
But, one good thing about christians, at least they aren't muslims.
