does DNA prove that evolution could not have happened as thought?

Remember, there was life on this planet 4 billion years ago...thats 4 thousand million..a long time. Mammals were around at the time of the dinosaurs, at least 200 million years ago. Yes, evolution takes a long time-but there has clearly been mammalian evolution in the last 50,000 years-not just subtle, but obvious differences in bone structure, size, etc. If you go very conservative and say it takes 50,000 years for a significant branch point (to make 2 species out of one) then 200 million years has 4 thousand branch points. Thats 2 to the 4,000 power. If every branch point took 100,000 years, then in just a million years (which is pretty short, considering we are talking about hundreds of millions), there is time for 10 branch points. thats 2X2X2X2X2X2X2X2X2X2..about one thousand new species from one original species. In 2 million years, you have time for one MILLION species to form, all from one original species-and thats with giving them 100,000 years to evolve!! Looking at this, the questions shouldnt be why are there so many, but why are there so few? Given that math I just showed, there should be thousands or millions of more species than we have, but there aren't. That's because an estimated 99.99% of all species that have lived have gone extinct. So what you see now isnt the full range of evolution-it's about 1 in 10,000 the species that have ever existed.... Evolution takes longer than a single human can see it, or even longer than the whole species has been writing-even longer than humans have been out of caves-but still, you can see 100,000 years isnt very many when you are talking about hundreds of millions, and calculating exponential diversity.

Evolution has been going on for at least 3.8 billion years. The mutation rate in human beings is about 1% per million years. 3.8 billion years is enough time for 3,800 complete replacements of DNA at the rate of 1% per million years.

The similarities of DNA among the different taxa is some of the strongest support for the evolution of life. For example, a molecule known as cytochrome-C is present in almost all forms of life. However, there are slight differences from one species to another. These differences are not arbitrarily distributed. A variation that appears in, say, the corals, remains in the corals. One that appears in reptiles, remains in the reptiles, and so on. There are many, many other lines of evidence for evolution that come from DNA.

Things branch off. I'll use a dinosaur example. Imagine a hypothetical 5 foot tall dinosaur. Let's say a mutation occurs that makes an offspring bigger. He's more muscular and can hunt and defend himself better. Therefore, the rest slowly die out.

Also say that another baby is born with a different mutation--he's smarter. He can find food and defend himself better because he has more intelligence. The rest of slowly die out.

This is an evolutionary branch, where two different species formed from the same base.

All the DNA evidence points towards evolution, not away from it.

If they were created to begin with -- that would NOT be evolution...

Haeckel's Drawings WERE TAKEN TO COURT AND PROOVED TO BE A FRAUD. HAECKEL HIMSELF ADMITTED THAT THE EMBRYOS DO NOT HAVE GILL SLITS AND THAT THEY WERE FRAUDULENT.

Yet this is still in text books and taught as PROOF FOR EVOLUTION.

6. Genetic analysis shows similarities among species reflecting evolutionary origins.

THIS COULD BE EVIDENCE FOR DESIGN AND NOT EVOLUTION
