It is important to me to be a Chrisian in life because I have found order and stability in the teachings of Jesus. It has made me content. This peace is from within and shines through me daily. Jesus loved all of us enough to die on the cross. He made it very easy to understand that if you follow him you will reap rewards & if you do not follow Him you will suffer for eternity.

The meaning of a Christian is a person who follows Christ. The Bible teaches us what Christ wants us to learn and do in life to secure a beautiful afterlife with Him.

I was raised in a strict religious family. There were some things that bothered me with the other fellow Christians at my church and other churches, and so I left the church for quite a few years. (Needless to say, this didn't go over well with the family.) I am now confident in my decisions and thrilled to know that being Christian is what I want, not what I was told to do. It took me quite some years but I then realized there are a lot worse going on outside the church. I never lost sight of God, I just left the church but during this time, I was kind of losing sight of me, what I was doing and where I was going. I decided to go back to the church about 5 years ago realizing that my relationship with God has nothing to do with what the other Christians in my church are doing or saying. On MY judgement day, I believe it will be a conversation between just me & God- that is it. Church is another place where I can spend time with my thoughts and prayers. It is where I feel close to God and learn more on how to be a Christian. If I couldn't put my problems in His hands, I'd probably go crazy. I leave it to God and He always takes care of it for me. My days go so much smoother when I involve Him.

God bless you for provoking people to think about their Christianity.

I don't go to church and haven't been in years. This doesn't mean I'm not a Christian. I was raised Catholic and believe in my faith. I pray every day. It may not be the prayers some believe I should be saying, but they're my prayers and I don't think it matters what form they come in.

Being a Christian is important to me because I believe I am one. I'm far from perfect. Pure as driven snow would not be how my friends would describe me. My mother called me her "wild thing", my father thought I would be a nun. Wow! Talk about two sides of a coin. The point is a good Christian, in my humble opinion, accepts people as they are and recognizes the potential in everyone. We are all equal, regardless of our faith in the eyes of God.

I don't believe the only requirement of being a Christian is believing in Jesus Christ; it's also conducting ourselves in a more Christ-like manner. He was kind, generous, forgiving, non-judgemental and His heart was pure. I guess that's pretty much what I think being a Christian is.

According to the Christian belief, when you die you either go to heaven or hell. Where ever you end up you will live there eternally. If you are truely a Christian, you will have accepted Jesus into your heart and thus you will be going to heaven. The only way to get to heaven is to have Jesus in your heart. It's important to "be a Christain" in order so that you will live eternally in heaven and not hell. The Bible tells Christians that it is important to be with him in heaven and to take as many others with them as they can by spreading the word of God to others during their stay on Earth.

Some choose not to believe in Christianity--and this is their choice based on the religion they choose to believe. Some belive that Chrisitianity is a man-made religion made long ago based on punishing others with fear and guilt.

Being a Christian also depends on what "Christian" belief you choose to abide it. Mormons, Lutherans, Catholics, etc. all concider themselves "Christians" but have slightly different ways of viewing the Bible, God, and the other concepts of Christianity and even the definition of Christianity as I have just provided it.

If I believe in God must I too be a Christian. Born and Baptized into The Holy Roman Catholic Church, Eight years Dominican Nuns and Four years of the Christian Brothers is a lot of brain washing. The teachings of the church have given many references to the answers that I asked and answers that I have found. I know what God is and to try to change the status quo is to declare myself the Anti-Christ.

Being a Christian is of uttermost importance in my life. It puts me in rightstanding with God through acceptance of the sacrifice Jesus Christ made for me. It lets me lean on God when I need help with problems that are impossible to solve on my own. I have found true love which is unconditional and I have found forgiveness for my sins. I have experienced the One that the human soul longs for, I don't ever want to go back.

Being a Christian means everything. It means I have a responsibility to represent my Lord and my Savior, and to show people that Christ loves them and is compassionate for them. It means living a life experiencing the love, gentleness, and the favor of God.

Christian is a label that opens the door to compliance within a social structure. It is not important.

being a christian is VERY important in your life .. being a christian means you are trusting jesus and you believe in him .. if your not a christian and dont believe in jesus then you are just giving up you life to the devil .. and you would be in hell forever .. so why would you want to do that when you could just trust and rele truly believe in the lord and go to heaven

my religion (it doesn't matter what it is as it is most likely the same for all relgions) gives a feeling like that of love. Think of a person who when you are around you feel as though in bliss. My religion gives me that feeling always.(as do others if the person accepts it wholely) that feeling coupled with my love for certain people makes me feel glorious
