ok it's down to the last two names!! Regan and Hazel. Please help me decide!?

Hazel. It fits the character better!

Hazel is DEFINITELY the name to choose. I can "see" Hazel as a deep thinker who doesn't fit in well and who doesn't have friends.

Regan is a popular, cute, perky name.

HOWEVER, if you wanted to build an awesome contrast, pick Regan, make her cute and perky but with this intelligence she hides. Maybe her Dad's a hot model and her Mom is some kind of super intelligent scientist.

Just a thought anyway.

I like Hazel. Someone named Hazel would seem to be interesting and unusual, just like the name.

Regan sounds too popular and outgoing.

regan is my favorite name, so i'd go with that one anyway. as a writer, i try to pick modern/cute names for my characters. however, hazel IS more laid back and old fashioned if you want the character to be truly someone who doesn't fit in well. i'm still optin for regan though. it's cuter. hehe.btw, hon...i LOVE your questions. seriously. i hope i get best answer for some of them as i am a fellow writer too. :)

Hazel - Old fashioned name in a modern world

Regan - again because she is strong and knows who she is. The reason she doesn't have a friend she can connect to is because they are intimidated by her sense of self. There are a lot of very insecure people in the world who feel threatened by people like her.

I like Hazel.

Hazel sounds middle-aged to me, whereas Regan could be any age.

Hazel....... Because as I commented before, she is quieter, and is more likely to wait until she's in a better position to act. So, she would be less inclined to socialize or trust much, unless it was to her advantage, and is also more likely to be studious of events. Good luck!
