What do you mean he won't drink from the bottle??

Maybe he just isn't hungry in which case leave him until he cries for some. Even an 8 month old baby won't starve itself.

If you think he is teething, just check on his bottom gums. You should notice it being slightly redish in colour and if you put your little finger inside, you should feel any bumps there. Usually teething has other symptoms like a fever or diahorea or just rid cheeks and irritablitly. Being off his food is also a sign.

If he is teething get him some rings to chew on to help him cut the teeth.

Have a chat with your local doctor who will give your baby a quick health check up to make sure your baby is ok, and they can advise you what to do next.

I am wondering, does the baby nurse too? I would try different sippy cups if the baby isn't drinking from the bottle. I am assuming that you are feeding the baby babyfoods by now, maybe try giving him a little more at each sitting. I'm a nursing mother, but my baby is teething at the moment right now and not wanting to nurse a whole lot. We are introducing more baby foods and snacks and we are also giving him juice and water from a sippy cup. Good luck! I hope this helps!

If the baby doesn't eat at all or continues for a while I would see a doc.

it could be because of his teeth. That sucking probably hurts his gums. Let him gnaw on a cold washcloth and then try the bottle. Introduce a sippy cup or a cup with a lid that spills so that he doesn't have to suck on it. You can still find thoes at some stores. Show him in his high chair and let him play with the cup and try drinking from it. He will get used to it soon. My 10 month old prefers cups over the bottles except when he is really tired.

    Good luck!

Lucky you! Get rid of the bottle while you still can. Your baby should be getting most of his nutrition from baby food by now, but he still needs formula. There is no rule that says he can't drink formula out of a sippy cup. Believe me, getting rid of the bottle early is WAY easier that waiting for that "magic" age you seem to be waiting for. Throw the bottles away, and give him formula in cups for the next 4 months. Remember, his tummy and his body aren't ready for regular milk yet. Hope this helps.

Sometimes the baby doesn't like the white beack of the bottle, coz it is hard to suck, plus it has a small hole.

My child hate it, so i always bought the rubber brown type plus make a good hole on it, so the child doesn't get tired or bored drinking the bottle.

She is already 4 and still has 3 bottles of milk per day plus 2 good solid meals.

Sometimes the baby doesn't like the taste of the milk, as my child again, didn't like, so i have to change it till find one that she likes; she choose an Organic Formula Milk, that is healthier, tastier and it is not heavy.

nicely you comprehend what you're able to do. Your spouse shouldn't could sleep interior the spare room - she could sleep in mattress with you. Your toddler, spending 6 months on her crib could transition back particularly somewhat. of direction there are going to be tears and a few sleepless nights, yet she's a toddler what do you assume? Rock her to sleep at evening, and them place her in her crib. Then leave. She would cry and grizzle for somewhat, yet as long because it does not proceed for longer than 20 minutes and is not any longer a extreme cry, leave her. If she's nevertheless crying after 20 minutes, bypass in and tuck her back in and take a seat by technique of her crib singing to her quietly on the hours of darkness till she cool down. yet relatively, the only way that she is going to settle back into her crib is that in case you enable her comprehend she no longer has a call - this is why I constantly maintained a sturdy environment and schedule with my little ones - to circumvent any of this pointless heartbreak and artwork.

Give him some of the baby orajel stuff. Put it on his upper and lower gums. Then try. I'd call a doctor if he isn't taking in any liquids, but if he's not screaming because of hunger, it must be the teeth. You should be feeding him baby food and cereal, though. (As well as bottles.) Try helping him suck on a popsicle. That could help his gums.

He could be teething, try a frozen teething ring or an ice cube on his gums. He simply could not be hungry, maybe he's too hot to eat? Does he gain weight appropriately? Trust me, he will take his bottle when hungry enough. Don't try to stuff him, that promotes lifelong fat cell development and weight problems. Just offer the bottle regularly, and leave it be for a bit if he won't take it. Don't forget to burp him.

You could try to give him breast feeding. I don't know I'm sorry! I'm pregnant and not looking forward to the baby part. Here's the only info I do know:

It may be best not to try to give a reluctant baby a bottle when he's gone a long time between feedings and very hungry. Anticipate.

Also you could try having someone else bottle feed your baby because babies tend to think of their mothers as regard to their nipples and want the milk!

Mix up some water and sugar into a paste. Then take the paste mixture and rub some on the nipple of the bottle. Rub the bottle on your baby's lips like your teasing him. Then, hopefully he'll drink the bottle.
