Procrastination rears its ugly head! What do you do? What DO you do?!!!?

What are your strategy for overcoming procrastination? I could really use a few. For all the jokers: the "swift kick in the @$$" technique failed too.

You can do anything for fifteen minutes. Set an egg timer, whatever, and do the thing for fifteen minutes. The trick is here, is to STOP after your time is up. Then move on and take a break or do something else for another fifteen minutes until you can come back to it.

Or, only do fifteen minutes a day. Little by little you'll chip away at it, you'll have more energy for it, AND most importantly, it'll keep you in the process. More will sink in or be integrated this way than in one big effort.

    Good luck!

    Well. I remember it now.

5 years or so of procrastination = no sleep... I ended up becoming totally burned out and having to miss MONTHS of school because of that.

Make a list of things that you have to do and mark them off as you get them done. I too put things off til the last min. but when I use the list system it seems that I am able to finish the things I need to and then have lots of time to do what I want without feeling bad about it.
