Well, this doesn't sound good. If you are in a relationship with someone you should feel comfortable, and if you feel like you need to "keep up" then you should probably not pursue the relationship. It's not about the age, but about the fact that you are not confident and comfortable around her. Ask her how she feels though; maybe if she feels comfortable with you then you will feel more confident, and find that maybe you don't need to "keep up". The bottom line is be yourself. If you find that you cannot be yourself with her then let it go.

You have to have her same energy–

fulfill her needs, be willing to try new things, listen to her (she may be at a different place in her life than you and need to spend more time with friends, for example) and appreciate her.
