Tattoo aftercare. Anything better than Prep H?

Putting Prep.H. on my back tattoo and it stinks!!! Mates swear by it. Any better suggestions, tips or ointments that don't make you smell like a dead shark?!

Savlon don't know if they sell that in the states it's a skin healing cream, someone said vaseline that is good after two or three days but try to use something antiseptic till it begins to scab, then you just need to keep it well moisturised, the pharmacist was on the money too vits A & D are great for growing new skin cells

Everyone will tell you something different. I know people who have used Prep H and their tats are fine. I used tattoo majik, for my back, which smells great, herb-y flower-y. MY Fave!!!!!!!

I used Palmer's cocoa butter for my foot. ( walking around smelling like a chocolate bar. Not my cup of tea. BF like this for his tat)

I guess the best advice i can give is to use something natural and follow the artist advice

Any ointment that keeps the tattoo moist and stops it from scabbing

I used savlon, covered in clingfilm to keep it moist and it worked brilliantly. If you keep the clingfilm on for 48 hours there is hardly any scabbing.

I used Lubriderm Lotion. The tatoo artist gave me a sample. Good Luck!

Cocoa Butter, was what my ex had me slapping on his. And it makes ya smell all coco-nutty - which is nice!
