I have had that experience too.

Could it be caused by tight muscles from bad seating, or from some other reason? That was the first suggestion when I asked a chiropractor before getting my xrays. I hoped that was all it was.

Might you have minor scoliosis of the lower spine like me? I noticed that as I got older, I couldn't sit too long especially in meetings with bad folding chairs. More recently I was on the bus and that problem started. I had to give up my seat and stand up because I was afraid that by the time the bus arrived at it's destination I wouldn't be able to walk, my knee & hips hurt so much.

Since I was 30 yrs old, I knew one leg was longer than the other by 1/4". I asked the doctor about it, they got out a tape measure and confirmed that my legs were the same length. Told me my tailor's observation was not true.

Now about 37 yrs later, I'm retired from work, visiting a chiropractor for a frozen shoulder. Frozen shoulder is fixed now. Then I complained about the chronic lower back pain and problem sitting for very long. He took xrays of my spine, side view and front view. I saw the xrays. My spine is like a C.if you look at it from the front view. One hip is 1/4" higher than the other. He is helping me with that problem now. I asked him why my doctors gave me a brushoff. I was upset that doctors hadn't caught the problem much earlier even though I had complained.

He told me it is always necessary to sit back in a proper fitting chair. The reason is because the back of the chair helps to support the back. The space between for all my disks are OK, except the very lowest one and that is narrowed. Sorry I can't be more technical and specific.

Hope you discover what is causing your problem. Good luck.

go see a dr. For short term apply heat, or a muscle rub cream. Its most likely gout or a pinched nerve in your back. I have the same symptoms, and we are in the process of finding out which is the culprit. good luck and take it easy.

you probably sit all day at work and forget to take breaks, right? go to the doctor ASAP, but also try to exercise regularly.

i had similar pain and my dr said if i do not exercise this could become a serious circulation problem.

If it hurts in one spot and is HOT in that area it could be a blood clot. Go in to ER.

If not hot and pain not canstant you could have a pinched nerve.

You should try doing cycling in air with your legs. I mean that you should lay down on your back straight on ground, then put your legs in air and move them in air as if you are cycling. Believe me, It will far more beneficial to you. God bless you !
