Whatever you are doing she wants to know everything about it! Kids like to be involved in what there parents do. That is how they learn things early in life.

My kids will have nothing to say for hours and then I will either try to talk on the phone or read a book and all of the sudden they have a million questions. Things like, "Mommy can I go to the bathroom?" or "Mommy I can't find my lego that looks like a monkey." or "Mommy my brother won't help me find my lego that looks like a monkey." or "I'm hungry. What can I eat?" (And it's not like the didn't just eat 20 minutes ago.) So, I guess the answer is we should give up on trying to do stuff and just answer the kids and help them find the lego monkey and fix them a snack.

I am laughing at this question cause I JUST asked my daughter (6) the same thing. She said, "Cause it's my job. I'm a kid; I have to be annoying." LOL I love the little nut. She will not close her mouth for a second. She's next to me now reading what I'm typing, and not liking it.

They are becoming aware of their world and they just want answers.

I remember the movie Kramer -vs- kramer, where the father said having kids means listening, and when you get tired and can't lieten any more, pretend to listen. (Something like that)

Most of the time you will have the energy to listen. Other times, it's okay to nod your head and say sure, okay sweetie, Uh huh... I know mother's are supposed to be super women, but even super mothers need a break from the questions and If it's a really important question, they will ask it again.

Because if you are busy that means that you are not paying attention to them and they have to be the center of attention. If they are older than 5 tell them that when you are busy...like on the phone, or paying bills, etc, that they can sit and color until you are done and you will do something fun. Keep crayons, mess-free markers, paper, etc in a drawer by your phone so when they try to get your attention while you ARE on the phone you can distract them.

Because children are not born with knowledge of the world. They need to learn and be taught If you are fixing a car by asking questions you could expand on the childs knowledge of engineering and the kid could grow up to build the first salt water powered hover car.

Or he could grow up learning to steal cars. Depends on if he is TAUGHT the difference between right and wrong.

    you are quite something, really

that's all I have to say about this question of yours which is way worse than whatever a child had to ask of you

**OK I had to edit this a bit b/c I got some flack about getting annoyed too easily, and re-reqading this (along with your extended info) you are clearly not so bad and meant "freakin" in a harmles way... (I guess? but maybe not best language with your kid watching??)

basically, children are keen observers and curious in many ways and things... so they keep on asking questions that would seem to be freaky.... that's also because they cant help to observe anything they have seen or observed... they usually ask it when u are doing something simce they want to catch ur attention and they wanna make sure they are being heard so they get full answers to their confused inquisitive minds...

When my angel is on a roll with questions, I always fire them right back at her. My first usually being, why do you ask so many questions. Depending on the day, I might get back, "well how do you expect me to learn mommy!" Other days I might get back a I don't know.

1 They are curious and their little brains want to learn everything.

    2. They want your attention.

    3. They love you and/or respect you.

That about covers all the reasons. Be happy !!
