They say red wine has antioxidents to prevent heart disease...I was wondering if grape juice did the same thing...

I have read that grape juice is another alternative to the benefits of red wine. Here's a quote:
"Antioxidants can be obtained from many fruits and vegetables, including red grape juice."
"Others are examining the potential benefits of components in red wine such as flavonoids and other antioxidants in reducing heart disease risk. Some of these components may be found in other foods such as grapes or red grape juice."

The health benefits come from resveratrol, which comes from the skins of red grapes. More grapes are used to make a gallon of red wine than a gallon of grape juice, as grape juice is 90% or more water. No water is added to red wines.

It is beneficial, but not quite as good as red wine. Red wine is better (moderate consumption of alcohol has anti-inflammatory effects on our blood vessels), but grape juice still has many good benefits to health.

not exactly, but close... it has to be purple grape juice, not white grape juice... something about the dark color in the fruit related to the antioxidant properites.
