I really think it is just an elaborate hoax but its a really good hoax...a few of the things he "predicted" have just not happened..like the civil war in America he said would happen. I would say that this guy is probably writing sci fi scripts in hollywood right now!! It was perfect because he said if something didnt happen like he predicted then it was because we "changed" our time line somehow?? Great story though..I really liked it. I guess in time we will see if the other predictions come true.

    I think

    Fairly complicated internet hoax.

Of course, Art Bell and the imitators will eat that stuff up.

It makes for good entertainment, or diversion or something.

Last I heard, George Noory was supposed to talk to the lawyer the family brought in to sell the story. I think it's being worked into a movie, and the radio and internet stuff is pretty good in terms of pre-production publicity.

I haven't seen so much hype except for The DaVinci Code, or maybe "The Passion of the Christ".

Remember, Art pushed "The Day After Tomorrow" which was based on his and Whitley Strieber's book, and the movie did hundreds of millions of dollars.

That wasn't the first movie Art promoted. I know the show gets a piece of book sales.

I just realised that I posted a link to wiki here, and wiki is always changing.
