When you are home alone, do you leave the bathroom door open or close/lock it?

if you leave it open, has anyone ever walked in on you?

Update:

just because your home alone when you enter the bathroom, does not mean a person may not enter your home- a family member/ friend/ criminal etc...the point is do you feel secure? do you feel self conscious? or are you an open person - unconcerned with who may or may not enter....etc...

Wide freaking open. If a ciminal, family member, friend, electrician or whoever walks in, I hope they can get over it. Heck, if they're coming in without knocking, they should come in through the bathroom window, like the old Beatles song. I take showers with the door wide open when I'm alone. It helps keep the mirror from fogging up. My house, my body, my rules. When I get my hot tub installed in tthe back yard, it will be strange if a person feels a need to wear a swim suit in it. I know I won't need one.

Get comfortable in your own skin baby, that is why God made you that way.

this question is deeper then that!

it is about trust and the way the world is these days, there is no really simple answer to this question because with out knowing that has made you untrusting in the past to bring you to the point where you are no longer feeling safe in your own home. then the question would be do you lock your front door the minute you get home do you lock your car after you get in it. Yes I do because I have been hurt in the past by people and strangers so I lock the Bathroom door when I am home alone because I need that feeling of safty

I have no choice, but to leave the bathroom door open because if I don't, my cats scream on the other side of the door and scratch at it.

When my Husband comes home, he doesn't pay attention if I am in the bathroom. I do the same thing to him, because again the cats create a scene.

Have a lovely rest of the day.

I leave it, unlocked and open, the lights on and whistle the John Phillip Sousa's "Liberty Bell". That's the Monty Python's Flying Circus theme for the Sousa-impaired.

Well, if I'm home alone, no one should be able to walk in on me.

Typically I close it, especially when I'm in the shower. That way the heat stays in the room (I'm cold-natured). If I'm combing my hair or something, the door is open.

I leave it open when people are here. Only if I do #2 do I close it, out of respect for others.

I leave it open. How could anyone walk in on me if I was home alone?

I always leave it open and sometimes my daughter or husband will walk in and I just say Hi !

I shut the door only because of the fact that my morals were instilled in me that way. Besides in a way it has a comfort to it.
