How do you KILL soap suds???

I have a fountain in my side yard garden that some local kids dumped soap into. I found plastic cups filled with liquid dish detergent and laundry soap powder. It's in the filter and pump and everything. And it's a LARGE fountain. To empty it and clean everything out would be time consuming and labor intensive. Does anyone know of any product that will rid me of the 6 inches of soap suds floating in my fountain? BIG THANKS to anyone who can help me.

    Very simple and healthy way:

    Add distilled white vinegar.

Start with one cup and see

    how it works. Keep adding

    as needed.

    Cheap and fast.

    Good luck!

I wouls try the epsom salt first. It's cheap- $2 quart and you can it in the aisle with band aids and rubbing alcohol at target, Walmart etc. If that doesn't work, try Ivory Soap. I know it sounds odd, but someone here in my office said that adding ivory soap to a bath tub gets rid of excess bubbles.

I don't know if it will work in a large fountain, but I had a small table top one and my neighbors son put soap in it. I used baking soda. Just sprinkle it in and turn off the pump.

I didn't know that epsom salts would work but knew table salt would. Turn off the pump, sprinkle salt over the suds & rinse well untill gone. It won't hurt your drain.

I think you might have to empty it. I've heard that soap can damage the pump and filter, so it's best to completely empty it and clean it that way.

I would start with the police, this is definitely vandalism.

Can you divert the output on the pump, and refill with a hose, a few times, let it get almost empty and then refill it.

First you tie them up, take a knife and then cut them from groin to sternum.....Oh, wait - that's how you gut a deer. I guess you can't kill soap suds the same way...
