I would hope so. Any time you get into a relationship and you aren't fully capable of giving it your all.... you are cheating the other person. How would you feel if you were emotionally invested in someone, only to find out that they weren't capable of giving as much back to the relationship? It would be devastating to me.
I'm the type of guy that likes being in relationships... I dont do the one night stand thing... but I wont get into a relationship with someone that I can't see a possible future with. If I'm not ready to give my time and efforts to the relationship... I wont waste her time.
Bottom line.... a relationship can only succeed in the modern world if both individuals are working to maintain that relationship everyday. If either partner quits working at it, then the relationship is doomed to failure. Not being emotionally ready for a relationship means the relationship is starting off with a broken foundation. Anything with a broken foundation is not built to last.

And your point is...?
Anyways...People should wait until they are emotionally ready, meaning they should be ok with dating a new person and they should also be ok of whoever their ex's are dating...even if their ex's decide to date their own brothers or sisters.
No Joke...people shouldn't be allowed to dictate who the ex's should or shouldn't date. Now that's being emotionally ready.!

It seems that people today have very low self esteem. They do not even know how to have a relationship with themselves. They find their identity in who they spend time with. If they had to spend time alone they wouldn't know how to handle it. They would kick and scream. I think spending time with someone is great if you know what and who you want to be with. But not until.

Unless one tries, they'll never know if they are ready or not.
Unless someone is using that as an excuse to back out early.

I think people want to fill the void with another human even if it means suffocating yourself.
