Are bone crackers any good?

In your experience, is a chiropractor usually more effective than a physiotherapist at releaving pain and other problems caused by lower back instability?

Hey there, at first when I read ur Q, i was wondering what a bone cracker was, well I'm a dummy....I just wanted to let you know that I have suffered with 3 herniated discs, with a pinched nerve,& am now awaiting an operation, but from my personal experiences I found that Chiroprators can be a bit harsh, & sometimes aggrevate the injury, Physiotherapist are able to give exercises that enable the damaged area to strenghten & help with pain management, and is less intrusive.Oesteopaths work well too.Depending on how serious your injury is, or if it's a muscular problem it's best to have an xray first.Swimming in a Hydrotherapy pools, especially hepl to relax the back muscles. I hope this helped, good luck:)

It depends on the chiro that you go to. The one I use is truly fantastic. People drive 3 hours to see him for treatment. And it does really work. I have a son who races motocross and he sees him as well for adjustments when he has had a stack. Physiotherapists have their place as well for treating tissue injury, but I think the real point is to find either a chiropractor or physio that really knows their stuff. I would certainly think twice about who i would see if I had to choose another Chiropractor. So spend some time to investigate just how successful the chiro or physio is.
