i think i got a raise at my job but my immediate supervisor is not sure and says i should ask the director..?
but my last check was more than normal and i have been there a year now. on our checks we are suppose to write our hourly rate. i want to know what to write for my hourly rate i just to want to screw anything up. what do you suggest?

You should receive some sort of documentation with your check that shows how much went to taxes, benefits, etc. First you need to compare your last check stub to the current one to see if something changed in one of those categories. If it did and you're not sure why then you should consult your payroll or HR team to be sure there wasn't an error that will come back on you later for repayment, etc. If it is indeed a salary change then you should defer to your director.
