Need to prove I have a clean police record?
British nationality, living in France. I'm signing up to become a teacher in the French national education system, and I need to give them a copy of my police record to prove I've never done anything wrong.
How do I go about asking for a copy of my police record?
Thanks in advance !

Hi , you need to call the Criminal Records Bureau 0870 90 90 811 they will take all of your details and run the check and send you a legal document laying out your criminal status...or lack of it.
I wish you wonderful luck with your new life in France, : )

I'm confused - If you havn't done anything wrong you wouldn't have a police record anyway, and if you do have a police record you would not be considered for the job in the first instance.
Usually they have already done a basice security check on you before they offer the interview.

Hi,
You need to apply for a Criminal Records Check from the CRB. The easiest way to do this is by going to your local education recruitment agency and they will send off for one for you. Alternatively you can apply for one online yourself at www.disclosures.co.uk. It will cost you around £35 to obtain one. I hope this helps!

If you are already working as a teacher here, you'll have had a check done already and it will be held by the school. They can take a long time.

In the UK you ask for a CRB check...Criminal Records Bureau.
If you look on the internet it'll give you the address. It's in Liverpool.

you need a crb form but you will need to be patient, they can take up to 8 weeks. If unsure go into your local station or alteratively call the local education authority. It costs £30

Simply go to the police department and request a background check. They'll fingerprint you, run the check and you're all set.

if you already have a police record then you have obviously done something wrong already
