I'm having trouble with my monitor. help please?
The colors are all stupid. the blues are too blue and all the same shade of blue. The reds and yellows are real bright and orange. It looks like an old picture tube TV gone bad. I tried the buttons on the front of the monitor but none of them change the color, only the shape and the brightness. Do I need a new monitor? My family is on the computer alot.

Well actually I would guess that your monitor is a CRT, which basically does use a picture tube, so most likely it is just like an picture tube TV gone bad, time for a replacement. I would recommend an LCD, you can get them for a good price now.

Sounds like some of the color tubes (Red, Green, Blue) are going out. I would considered just scrapping it and getting a brand new montior.

Sounds like its time to up grade to an LCD. It sounds like one of the guns in your crt is bad. Not at all worth fixing. Buy you an LCD monitor.

Try jiggling the wire to the computer, you might have a loose connection, or you may need a new monitor.
