Arab/Muslim Fragrance?
I recently went to visit some arab/muslim friends and I loved the way their house smelt. It was not the smell of incense but just this lovely fragrance on them and in their house. It was so comforting. I felt too shy to ask them what they were using. Now, I would like to recreate that same kind of fragrance in my house. Is there anybody out there who can help me? No insults pls!!!

My husband is Persian and his home prior to our marriage also had that type of pleasant smell... I think it is a combo of cooking spices and incent. Angelica and sandalwood are the top two contenders I think you are looking for. Now that we live in the same house, there is a blend of it with my own personal likes as far as aromas go... I really love the smell of gardenia and magnolia, mixed with the personal care products he prefers (mostly imports from the middle east...) and the spices we use in cooking our home still has a scent of that aroma. Peace.

The best thing you can do is ask the host, I am sure they would be happy to tell you because the result of asking this question on Yahoo! Answers is ALOT of insulting and ridiculous answers ...
