Televised religion.?

I question this form of television. Why is it that Christianity and some other form of religion can be broadcast on American television while not others? I thought this country was all about freedom of religion? What if I wanted to watch a sermon that deals with Judism or to the extreme, Satanism? Come on, now. This is getting ridiculous. Your thoughts.

It is all about supply and demand. Television stations show certain programs because there is demand to watch them.

You can find other things by using the internet and downloading services.

Don't forget radio broadcasts. There is a Muslim station here in New Orleans that broadcasts the call to prayer 5 times a day. Non-Christian broadcasts are out there on television and radio, perhaps you simply haven't stumbled across them..

I have seen televised brodcasts of services for Islam, Hindu, and some other religion I could not identify. If you have the cash, you can pay for the time slot. The problem in this cuntry is that there are not enough people of other religions who would be interested in watching a service on TV as opposed to gettign up and going to one.

Well, I go to a Gods church, and we had a televised program. All we did was read from the bible and they are trying to boot us off. All we do is read fro the book. none of that TD jakes and false prophetrs stuff. Strait from the book. don't feel singled out. They don't want to hear the word of the True and Living God anyway. Nothing on tv is telling you the truth about God.

Well, I don't know about regular public television, but we have satellite TV and there are several religious non-Christian stations on there.

I don't watch them, they deal mostly with philosophical influences and such. But now that I think about it, I've never seen a Muslim station. There have been several Muslim shows, or I should say shows about Muslim men or women, usually in the act of trying to educate their people.

It's all just entertainment, and if you think satanism isn't broadcast, you haven't been watching closely enough.

I've even seen Buddhist and Shinto practices broadcast in this country as well as Jewish, Evangelist, and many other sects. If you think this is not so, you don't get enough channels, lol.

  • I find televised religion, ANY religion, terribly hilarious.

Then I get frightened because people across the land are sending money to these frauds.

Then I get sad, because I've run out of Hagen-Daas.

Since this country was founded on Christian beliefs, I'm glad there is Christian services on TV. Some people cant get out and enjoy live services. Other beliefs are tolerated, but should not be promoted.

my thoughts are that televised religion is hypocritical of the faith...

    Matthew 6:5

[ Prayer ] "And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full.

    - do not pray so people can see you but pray so that your walk with god can further.

If you have enough money you can televise anything you want. Christian leaders have been great at milking the bucks out of their followers.
