Need good suggestions for a wedding gift ... see details?
Our friend/landlord got married, combined households so they don't need anything in terms of that kind of gift. They each have a small child and are expecting in the spring. Have live-in childcare /housekeeping (grandma). Live in a smallish, modest home. We want to get them something unique and cool, but can't spend over $50 or so. Any suggestions? Thanks!! (We live in Canada)

Ahoy my fellow Canadian. There are many unique and wonderful gift shops in whatever province you subside. They may appreciate something of an artistic nature that neither of them has or a gift certificate to a store that you think they might like to shop at. It's hard when people are going through the second or third marriage and don't really need anything. Myself I'm in Northern Ontario and know for a fact that there are a lot of artisan spots that have different gifts for affordable prices (well within your budget). Good luck shopping and to your landlord in his new life.

Since they just got married and have combined households give them a gift certificate to Lowe's or Home Depot so can buy paint for the baby's room or redecorate another room of the house. Or a resturant.

How about a gift certificate to thier favorite resturant?? They will not be offended if the price is for 50.00. Another idea...even tho they have Gramma living there...hire them a house keeper for a few hrs....just to get those things Gramma can't get to! (under furniture, cobwebs, windows....) you get the idea, lol.

A nice bottle of champagne with 2 champagne glasses that are engraved with their initials or a message of love. Be creative. Good luck.

Don't buy them anything for babies. This was a wedding; not a baby shower!
Didn't they register? Maybe you could ask grandma where.
