Oh my gosh - you will not believe my story! Yesterday I posted a "Thank You" to all American military Veterans in honor of Veteran's Day. I thanked them for their personal sacrifice and courage to keep all of us safe and free. I received my first "violation" notice today that said my HEARTFELT THANKS TO ALL VETERAN'S ON VETERAN'S DAY was removed!!!! It was removed because it was not a question!!

Yeah thats why I came up with this whole Yahoo service idea called Yahoo! Courts I hope they consider it someday. It was just a suggestion i mean not like a real court it just determines if you are going to get points docked or if it affects you record on Yahoo. Here is how it works. If you get reported and receive an email. There should be an "appeal abuse" link. This would lead you to a service called Yahoo! Courts. On it they ask
you to sign in wht time you wish to make your appeal and you fill
out what time zone in the world you live in and the recomended
time.Ofcourse you will log in at that time and go to Yahoo! Courts and click a box that says "Attend Yahoo! Courts.
You will enter this chat ooom type setting.A Yahoo represenetive
or high level Yahoo answers user perhaps level 6 or 7 that is
certified to do it will be the judge in the chat room.you will ofcourse explain you side of the whole issue. The person who
reported you will also be there. As well as some community
members who just want to watch for their amusement or
to present evidence or maybe back one person off if they were wittness. The person who reported might also have to be there
because they might have done something first causing another
person to act bad.And so they will present links as their evidence and explain why they did what they did.Well you get the point. In the end the jury or the people watching the whole thing will
probably vote and the high level represenetive will figure the whole thing out.If a abuser is found guilty then they are to be docked points and have the abuse on their record. If the person who reported is found guilty they will be docked points and
have the whole thing on their record.Best of all if the person
who reported is found guilty then the innocent reported person
gains points on Yahoo answers or what ever service they were
reported in.I think this idea can really work.In a case which
the person who thanked the veterans and got reported they
did violate the terms but if you really think what kind of senseless person would report because of that and if that person were to go to Yahoo courts they would get enough positive votes to
get the whole issue dissmissed which is what will happen if
no conclussion is met and a majority of people 20 or above
support the verdict.
As an answer to your the policy gets ridiculous at a certain point
and yet the rules make sense especially when people take up
to much space asking things like "bing bong bing bong" but
sometimes the policy is messed up when they fail to see the
whole issue of the matter which is where Yahoo courts comes in.

Okay, you are going to allow me to end my day on a high note.
Today I got a violation email. the question was "how many answers do you get on your question" my response was "I didn't know we were suppose to count them, no one stated that we were counting them" it went on a bit more but not mean or anything. So they violate me for get this "chatting" I nearly fell off the chair laughing, chatting with who???? I answered a question.
I think it is as you say some person doesn't like the answer and they report it as something in the list and your deleted just like that. Not a look at the problem or question, I know what your saying I do think it is a computer not a human in sight.
Thanks for letting me chat w/you.

What is even more ridiculous is, the ones who report you for telling the truth but can't face it, so they report you.
It happened to me about 4 times last week alone.
If they are not ready to hear the truth, they should not be on here asking stupid questions!
And YES!, Yahoo's policy is getting a bit out of hand.

Yeah I got a violation over a really dumb question. Kinda ticked me off because it said I was being offensive and it really probably just hurt the guy's feelings cause I was being honest. (I noticed other people who had similar comments also had been removed)

I can't prove it, but I think Yahoo uses trained monkeys to do the job. Obviously, some are less trained than others. Good luck.
