They aren't hazardous to our health! If we didn't have carbohydrates we would die. We need them to make energy to live... It's just too *much* is bad for us, just like anything. Everything in moderation is fine.

I am not sure that carbohydrates are a hazard. It's the amount and way certain foods are cooked that are a hazard. We need carbs, as a fuel for the body. Everything in moderation.

I think everything is becoming hazardous to eat because whoever out there is preparing the food for the market puts too much hormones, preservatives, additives and whatever else.....which is probably why we have so many cancers and in-curable diseases.Does anybody really know what the heck we are eating when we open a can from the store????

Carbs aren't hazardous, but if taken in moderation work well.
ANYTHING over-used can be a danger

There are 2 kinds of carbs. Simple and complex. Simple are like eating sugar so those are the bad ones Potatoes,, rice white bread are examples of simple. Whole grain products are examples of complex

This all came about because if you eat alot of carbs and dont burn them they get stored as fat in your body. So if you eat a big plate of spaghetti at 11pm then goto sleep, you will have gained like 2 pounds of fat in your body. As long as you are active I would worry about carbs. Carbs are needed as energy for your body so you will burn them doing anything, walking, running ect....
