Might be a growth spirt. It happens. If it continues, see a doctor.

Just make sure that she's staying in the normal % range of the growth chart. Also if she's consuming a lot of calories be sure that they're the healthy kinds. Also is she getting this example from somebody in the family (i.e., parents or siblings eating all the time). If so, might want to make the adjustment there.

  • My co-worker has a son that has a disease where he will eat everything in sight or in the house. I know that she is young and I don't have children myself, but why not get her checked out to be safe. Better to be over cautious than not at all. If there is a problem, it's always better to find it early. Good luck.

It sounds to me like she might have some kind of nutritional deficiency that her body is trying to treat via overeating. I would take her to a doctor for bloodwork and possibly start her on children's vitamins, if the doctor says that's okay.

could she be bored? My daughter does that when she's bored. Maybe she's just going through a growth spurt. I wouldnt worry about it.

If she's not overweight then why are you worried about it. Leave her alone. She's only 6
