Startup programs?
A bizzillion programs/utilities open when I start my computer. How do I remove them from startup. It takes a very long time to startup and to shutdown.

Go start>run...
type msconfig
untick the ones you don't want to run.
if u are adventurous enough, you may type "regedit" after that
slowly find the registry for the entries stated in the msconfig.

Click start ---> run.
Type in msconfig
Hit enter.
Go to a startup tab.
uncheck all the thing you know FOR SURE you don't need to start with WIN, otherwise -- don't touch it. :) check the path where program is located - that will give you an idea what is using that file/module so you'll know whether you should deselect it or leave it the way it is.

·STEP 1: Click Start.
·STEP 2: Click Settings.
·STEP 3: Click Taskbar & Start Menu.
·STEP 4: Click the Start Menu Programs tab.
·STEP 5: Click Remove.
·STEP 6: Click the item you wish to remove, and then click Remove.
·STEP 7: Repeat Step 6 for additional items.
·STEP 8: Click Close.
·STEP 9: Click OK.
Tips:
·Click the plus sign (+) to the left of a folder to access items in the folder.
·All items on the Start menu are shortcuts. Deleting the shortcut does not affect applications or documents.
·While you are removing items, take advantage of the opportunity to reorganize folders or add new ones.

Open up your start menu, click "Run", type in msconfig and press enter. This util will show you what's running on startup. You can disable them from there.

do a search for advanced windows care get it and run it there's a section for your start up the ones you want to start right click on it and put it on the ignore list
