Greco-Roman sexuality question.?

I need a little help answering the following:

The pre-industrial societys and clutures of Greco-Roman antiquity with thier dominant patriarchy and androcentricism seem utterly different from the modern westand thus also seem to bear out the contention that sex, gender, and sexuality are socially constructed. Can a strong arguement be bade for any significant commonalities in the area of sexuality between the Greco-Roman world and the West that would seem, in part at least, to support and 'essentialist' view?
