What is the maximum lifespan of commercially made toppings [chocolate, strawberry and butter scotch]??
I found some of these toppings in unopened gift packages of Christmases past that are still contained in their original, sealed jars with no visible signs of spoilage, i.e., the lids on their tops are still in the "depressed" state as opposed to the "bubbled" state once they are opened.
Not sure how old they are, but now I'm REALLY CURIOUS as to HOW LONG THESE bottled things WOULD LAST before they get spoiled and are no longer edible or fit for human consumption??
Thanks for your info.

They are stamped with an expiration date.
Check that and use is as rule.
