Saran Wrap will melt.
You can use foil instead.
Or, use a pan that has a lid.

You can use it in a microwave, but it melts, or sags in a regular oven.
Straight from the Saran Wrap web site
To vent excess steam, turn back one corner of the wrap.
For optimal results, use a container large enough to allow an inch between the wrap and the food.
To prevent the wrap from melting, food high in fat or sugar should not come into contact with the plastic wrap.
Not for use in browning units, conventional ovens, stovetops, or toaster ovens.

No, it would melt. Put it in a roaster pan, or glass casserole dishes work well and cover with foil. You may want to cut a couple small holes in the foil with a knife.
I love using the reynolds cooking bags for just about anything. The chicken or meat of your choice comes out much more tender.
Good Luck, and tell "hubby to be" that the "kitchen" is where your the master. He must listen to you in there.

NO. It will melt.
I totally forgot to take it off my casserole and I had the oven on low, just to warm the food up. It melted. Definitely a learning experience. LOL

It will melt!
Use aluminum foil, or just roast it uncovered! And don't let your fiance make any of the decisions about things involving fire!
Congratulations, and good luck...

I always cover my roasts, ribs, birds or hotdishes with plastic wrap then with a top it with a layer of tin foil. Sure it melts but not like you think.( shrinks in more like it) It seals in everything til you open it up.
