What to do for sister's 40th birthday?
My younger sister (by 4 yrs) is turning 40 next wk. She will be at work, in a busy hospital ER, at the registration desk. I really want to do something to call attention to her 40th birthday - she'd gorgeous, in great shape, very active, and has teased me for years about being the older sister. She is trying to downplay it. Now it's my turn! What can I do that won't be too over the top to get her in trouble? I see her there a lot because I am a paramedic. Oh - she will become a grandmother in April. Her coworker said not to send dead or black flowers - the hospital frowns on that, for some strange reason. Any ideas?

Make a gift basket filled with preparation H and Depends, a girdle,a hot water bottle, wrinkle cream, Ben Gay, Prunes,and a "Meatloaf" or "Kiss" or "White Lion" record LP album. Put balloons and confetti all on it and set it on the Reception Desk with a big Happy Birthday Card!!

Okay - get a male friend to pretend to be a patient.
Shave the number 4 on his left butt cheek and the number 0 on his right butt cheek.
Maybe stick a candle or a rose in the middle.
Wheel him in to ER face down and tell your sister that you have a really unusual case for her.
Whip the sheet back and voila - the whole of ER burst into a chorus of 'Happy Birthday'!

Send her a bouquet of balloons. Perhaps, even make signs and put them up in front of the door where she enters to go to work. But most of all, let her know that you love her.

For fun you can send her a singing telegram, now that would definitely cause attention to her big day and be very different.

Well, this is just an idea. My teacher did this once to her friend. She said that through out the whole day she had people that her friend hadn't seen in years call her and say Happy Birthday to her. Idk how well this went though. Our class had to sing Happy Birthday to her and then she started to cry, either because she liked it so much or suprised. idk. its just an idea

Show her you are the bigger person, and celebrate her 29th (or 21st) birthday instead!
It'll be a big surprise because she'll expect you to want to be mean.
