, Honey! I haven't witnessed it personally but a few articles and documentaries I've come across over the years. Say it's not that uncommon for either the Bride or Groom to pass out.I can't say what the stats are, but if it does happen to you, don't think you're the only one and be really embarrassed.

    1. Hot weather can cause one to get dizzy and faint.

2.Nervous exhaustion . It's a very big day ,at the end of a nerve wracking ,jam-packed period, of stress, shopping, negotiations and Planning.

just to get to your big day. It takes it out of you.

    3. Standing in one place for awhile. Sometimes your standing fully ,for an hour or more. You get dizzy and pass out.

    Aids to help.

    1. Try and plan your wedding for the cooler Months. Or make sure the premises are well air conditioned.

    2. After all the plans are set. Don't over spend on your wedding day. Allow others to arrange a lot of the small stuff ,or have a Wedding Planner, or elope.Try and get away for a Spa weekend. before your wedding. This will help calm you. Both.

    3. Have a chair nearby if you require one ,during the ceremony. Preferably before you pass out.

Wiggle your toes and move your feet, that will help too.

    I hope that helps Ciao

I paintings for a printing corporation and the most recent craze is a custom-made snapshot buying and selling card of the bride and groom. This is mainly excellent if each bride and groom are say for example "sporting events nuts" or "musicians", they are able to have their nice percent at the entrance after which at the again have distinct goofy stats or information approximately how they met, humorous reviews, or practical matters just like the groom's favourite pizza topping is pineapple and possibly the bride's favourite pastime is shoe browsing. Its a lovely memento, its just like the identical dimension as a sporting events buying and selling card and is solely the correct dimension for the pockets. It no longer handiest suggests off just a little of creativity however its a unique proposal and no longer many humans do it. I recognize that if I had been going to a marriage ceremony and those had been passed out, I might absolutely hold it. I do not understand how normally I were to a marriage ceremony and desired a pleasant memorable snapshot or anything to job my memory of the day. I suppose this might be high-quality and a lot more individual. By the way in which, the hyperlink integrated isn't the corporation I paintings for. But those men are a lot more low priced. If you have got an artistic streak or possibly a pal that's a wiz with photoshop, then post your possess artwork and create this your self. Good good fortune.

One of my bridesmaids passed out from the heat at my first wedding(it was 98 degrees with about the same humidity).

Best ways to prevent it are :

    1) do not lock your knees stand with them slightly bent

2)get plenty of rest the night before

    3) Do not get drunk the night before or day of your wedding until the reception.

    Yep.

Have a bite to eat in the A.M. even if you don't feel like it. Make sure you are hydrated, but not to the point of having to pee during the ceremony. I mean, make sure you go before. No alcohol. When you get to the altar, don't lock your knees; you must keep the circulation going or passing out is exactly what will happen. And breathe. Make sure you pass this info on to your bridal party as well.

It's not as nerve-wrecking as you might think, just emotional.

Alot of times if you have a long winded officiantand the people do not keep their knees slightly bent this can cause them to pass out. Why, I don't know. I do know that I was always told to keep my knees slightly bent when I was in chorus in school standing for 3 hours. And my sister-in-law who is a nurse advised me to to so at my wedding. So bend your knees slightly and have your attendants officiant, and groom, especially, do the same.

I've seen it happen twice.... the first time was my aunt and she was almost at the alter when she passed out... she got over heated and she was also very nervous and anxious. The second time well.... was some friends of mine and they were literally taking the plunge for their wedding.... they both said i do and then bunjed off a bridge, they both passed out on the way down....

It is often seen in soldiers in formation as well. The solution is pretty simple - when you are stnading for long periods of time - do not stand with your knees locked! Stand with them slightly bent forward. It is slightly less comfortable for some people, but it will keep you from passing out from standing.

When I was in the military they warned us not to stand in formation with our knees locked because it messes up your circulation and causes people to pass out.

Apart from nervousness, this could also be a reason people pass out while standing at the alter

I have never seen this with my own eyes. My parents were at a wedding where one of the bridesmaids fainted dead away. I gather she was unconscious before she hit the floor. She really injured herself when her head hit the marble floor.

when my mom got married to my "real" dad one of her bridesmaids got so drunk they passed out in the women's bathroom and ended up having to get an ambulance to the hospital because she had alcohol poisoning..... I do not know how you could prevent it maybe have a cash bar because if they have to pay for drinks they MIGHT not get as hammered as they would if the drinks are free.
