  • who is responsible for vines on property line?

My neighbor keeps expecting me to remove vines from his house. Most of them are rooted on his side of the property line. I'm pretty sure they are his legal responsibility to remove, but I don't know how to prove it. We are in Pennsylvania. Does anyone have any insight on this?

  • Can DUI victims receive financial assistance from the government if they are now a single mother due to a DUI.?

Is it federal funding, or does it vary from state to state. I'm asking about Pennsylvania if it's based on the state, but any information would be appreciated.

  • Is the government really that big?

I hear a lot of people saying that the government has gotten too big. However, I'm having trouble finding any evidence that the government has been growing. I've just been hearing this recently so I am assuming that the government recently had an immense growth, but I can't find any references that prove this. Has the government really gotten physically bigger or is that a figure of speech?

  • How much of the Earth's crust contains groundwater?

I know that you may have to drill 20 to 200 feet to hit groundwater, but how far down does the groundwater go? Does it stay close to the surface of the Earth's crust or does it continue down until the rock is too dense to hold water?

  • How long is a property survey good for?

I bought my house 6 years ago. The previous owners had photocopies of a survey done in 1957 and I was told by my real estate agent that survey was still good. I'm not sure about what the real estate agent said because he lied about other things.

Recently I have a problem with my neighbor weed whacking the flowers I planted on my side of the property line. Is my survey still good if I want to give the neighbor a copy to tell him where to weed whack.

  • Do your friends suddenly disappear on facebook?

Every once in a while I notice that someone who use to be in my contacts is suddenly not in there any more. Most of the time I assumed they deleted me because I expressed an opinion they didn't agree with, but once or twice when I questioned people they claim that they didn't manually delete me and it was a facebook glitch. Does this happen to anyone else or are my friends just too spineless to admit that I did something to upset them?

  • Could this problem be started by moisture/ice in the gas lines?

My husband had let his 1999 Dodge Ram van sit for over a week because of the snow. When he tried to move it it wouldn't start. We sprayed some started fluid in the air intake and it started but would stall right away and there was a lot of gray smoke in the exhaust at first but then a lot of white smoke (maybe it was steam) and there was several drops of water dripping from the exhaust pipe. The van would stall as soon as he took his foot off the gas. Any ideas as to what this problem could be?

  • Is there anything that would have the same symptoms as a minor stroke?

My mother-in-law went in the hospital Saturday afternoon. When we first took her it was for dizzy spells and we thought it was carbon monoxide poisoning. When she got to the hospital she began to lose feeling in her right side. They said she didn't have CO poisoning and they did two CTI scans and two MRI scans in two days and they still haven't diagnosed her. Meanwhile she said her right side is getting heavier. They wont let her eat or drink while they are still running tests. In my opinion they are ignoring her. They were suppose to do a test early yesterday and they didn't do it until after 5 pm. (Yesterday she was trying to get someone to help her urinate and when she couldn't wait anymore she tried to do it herself and ended up making a mess. Then the nurse acted like it was my mother-in-law's fault).

I'm worried about the competency of the people caring for her. To me this is obviously a stroke and these people are beating around the bush with the diagnosis instead of treating it while they let her starve in her room. Is there anything else that has symptoms of a stroke? Should we take my mother-in-law to a different hospital?

  • Does this sound like an alternator belt tension problem?

I was stuck in blizzard traffic yesterday with people moving way slower than they need to. I was driving a '94 Nissan Sentra XE standard tranny.

Every time I stop the lights in the car would dim and the radio would shut off. Then when traffic would move the power would come back on. Once I was able to drive freely I didn't have the problem.

It seemed that the alternator wasn't charging the batter when the engine was idling, but I'm not really sure. I just had the alternator replaced within the past year and I wondered if this could be a problem due to inaccurate tension on the belt.

  • My friend is getting on my nerves. Should I feel bad about it?

I invited a platonic friend I know from high school to stay with my husband and I during the holidays. I haven't really seen him much in twenty years but we talk a lot on facebook.

This guy has been a pain in the *** ever since he got here. First of all, I thought he was going to be here for three days and it's going to be almost a week before he actually leaves. I bought a bottle of gin for a party I was having and he drank it all himself in two days. He keeps touching all my food without washing his hands first (I'm pretty sure he's not washing them after the bathroom either). My friends and I playfully badger each other if we do something stupid, but this guy is just going out of his way for things to pick on me for. I also find him staring at me a lot which is pretty creepy, and if I look back at him he'll say something like "what are you looking at me for?" I've asked him nicely to wash his hands the first time he started to touch my food and he acted like there was something wrong with me and he acted like I was a germaphobic. Plus there's countless of other inconsiderate things he's doing that are just driving me nuts.

Every little thing I do around my house, he thinks he has to give me advice on how to do it better. It's kind of hard to take that from someone with no job and no degree due to sheer laziness.

I'm realizing that all these skills he talks about on the internet are greatly embellished.

I'm normally a person who speaks their mind, but I've been biting my tongue all week because I know saying anything is going to escalate into something I don't have the patience for.

I'm finally getting rid of him tomorrow morning, so I don't need advice on how to tolerate him. I just feel like a bad person for inviting this person here for the holidays and then not being able to stand him. I've had house guests before who didn't make me want to punch them so I don't think it's just me, but should I feel like a bad person over this?
