The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for one, and Iran. Some other Arab countries have very strict control over alcoholic drinks and their consumption. In USA, people under the age of 21 are banned from purchasing or consuming alcoholic drinks, although it is easier to get hold of narcotics like marijuana and extacy!

A number of Arab countries do, I'm not so sure about Lebenon, Syria and Jordan. Neither am I certain about Dubai as you can buy large bottles at the duty-free shops there.

Some countries like Malaysia in South East Asia, have prohibition in certain states and a ban on liquor for all muslims. Of course, what you do behind closed doors is well private.

Most countries however realise that liquor brings in a source of taxes for the government, so banning them is like killing the goose that lays the golden egg.
