if your baby is interested... lucky... my youngest is one and still won't sit and watch anything..... he will stand and for about two minutes watch the baby eistein dvd.... and then wants to be active or reading.... pushing things.. lol....
the children I have that did watch at early ages? I found that almost any that are geared to toddlers/babies start... he'll let you know by either watching or not if he likes it.....
teletubbies, barney, dora, sponge bob, dragon tales, thomas the tank engine, bob the builder, noddy are some that my children liked....
mostly for the little ones? I put the tv on pbs, nick jr or the new baby channel... if I have the tv on......

My baby LOVES this DVD! She is totally entranced by it. She watches it everyday since she was about 3 months old - she's 10 months now.

They'll watch almost any cartoon. Try something simple, tried and true... like Smurfs. At that age, my son loved Veggie Tales and Teletubbies.

My babies have always liked Maisy. She's a mouse with an aligator, bird and squirrel for friends. The characters all mumble and a narrator translates. It's very colorful with gentle themes. It's on Nogin.

One with lots of shapes and primary colors.
A 6month old is really too young to be glued to a TV set. You should be the one interacting with them.
Oh, and then there are Peanuts!
