Knee Pain is horrible! I have had Surgery on both knees, (no fun)! In sports, that involve great stress to the knees, it is common to tear one or more ligaments or cartilages. The anterior cruciate ligament is often torn as a result of a rapid direction change while running or as a result of some other type of violent twisting motion. It can also be torn by being extended forcefully beyond its normal range, or as a result of being forced sideways. In such cases, other structures will incur damage as well. Especially debilitating is the unfortunately common "unhappy triad" of torn medial collateral and anterior cruciate ligaments and a torn medial meniscus. This typically arises from a combination of inwards forcing and twisting. In addition to developing new surgical procedures, ongoing research is looking into underlying problems which may increase the likelihood of an athlete suffering a severe knee injury. These findings may lead to effective preventive measures. I used Soma for the pain and it worked miracles! I buy Soma online without a prio prescription online at NextDaySoma.Net. http://www.nextdaysoma.net/soma.php . Next Day Soma is US licensed and located and I have never had a problem and always receive my Soma Next day Via Fedex Overnight delivery. I hope this Info helps you Dear. Get rest and let your knee heal fully before over using it again!

There are several possible answers to your question. If you are an older individual and have participated in sports for a long time it may be general arthritis throughout the knee. If this is the case do some non weight bearing activities for a while (swimming or biking) and lay off the running. Second, you could have a torn medial meniscus (the cartilage between the tibia and femur). If the knee locks up, hurts more if your standing and pivoting, or you can't straighten the knee this may be the case. Third, it could be condromalacia patella. This is a softening of the bone and cartilage behind the knee cap. This condition will cause a significant amount of pain associated with knee extension, squats, running, and just about any activity that involves a forceful contraction of the quadriceps muscle. My suggestion is to visit your doctor and have some additional testing done (MRI, X-rays). The sooner you get a diagnosis the sooner you can get treatment and piece of mind. Good luck.

First of all, make sure you locate your pain correctly. You could have shin splints. It sounds painful. The obvious, easiest answer is to always consult a doctor. I get knee pain a lot as well, but not due to running. When I do walk or run, it hurts even worse. Do you have arthritis? What kind of pain is it? If you have a pool or have access to one, try swimming a couple days instead of running. Water is an excellent way to strengthen your knee without dealing with a lot of pain. Try to lay off the squash intensity until your knee strengthens. Also, heat packs are very heavenly. It may help you go to sleep or just relax.

Hello. I was a cheerleader and track member all through junior high and high school. I also felt unexplained knee pain exactly how you are describing it (doesn't it get worse when the weather gets cold?). The doctors diagnosed me with arthritis when i was only 19 because of all of those physical activities. there are many medications to slow down the deterioration caused by arthritis but unfortunately the glory days of sports comes with a price. if you still want to continue to run, i recommend (especially if you're running on hard pavement) to get those dr. scholl's gel shoe inserts to help absorb some of the impact of each step when you're running to take some of the stress of your knees. Good Luck!

This could be because of muscle fatigue or dehydration. Try exercising all parts of your body. It also sometimes is due to disuse atrophy. Try out some home remedies. You can also look for information in the web that give you home remedies. I found this website very useful. http://aches.in/cramps.html
