I just read about when cats purr and I am confused??????????

I just read that when a cat purrs that they are content, but on the other hand could be ill or dying. I have a cat that purrs all the time and loudly. Should I be worried?

No need to worry. It is true that a cat purrs when it is content and in pain. It seems to be a contradiction but what the cat is actually signally by purring is "you can approach me" - if you think about it like that then you understand better why it could purr when in pain and when being cuddled.

Not at all. He/She is probably just a very happy cat! They purr sometimes when they're ill or dying to comfort themselves (Well, that's what I read) But you shouldn't worry about it.

As long as your cat is not displaying any other symptoms of illness (lack of appetite, lethargy, etc.) you're cat just loves you very much and it is a content purr.

No as long as she is happy and healthy, no problem, lots of cats are constant purrers, but yes a lot do purr when sick and a lot get the death purr. I have had lots of purr machines and they were fine.

on a similar time as an person cat can study a canines physique language, a kitten remains a splash one and remains studying. The cat isn't attempting to scouse borrow the nutrition he's only curious with regard to the canine and the canines nutrition. My cat is often butting my canines out of how and ingesting their nutrition. even nonetheless, I definitely have taught my canines to admire my cat and continually provide her area as she is smaller and extra fragile. And while a canine bares its tooth it rather is saying basically one subject "seem at my tooth, i can kill you". Fro my adventure of possessing cats and canines on a similar time there is largely one way a cat and canine can get alongside, the cat could be dominant over the canine. earlier feeding your canine, interior a similar room feed the kitten first up severe, then feed the canine. this might prepare the canine to admire the cat and could provide up the kitten from desiring the canines dinner.
