What might cause a cat to poop, not pee, on just one particualr piece of furniture?

This cat is still using the litter box for number one and number two, but I can't figure out if he's just lazy and doesn't want to go downstairs to the litter box or if there's another issue. He will only do this in the morning and it's about 3-4 times a week. The box is cleaned daily and there are multiple cats in the house showing no problems.

If it was pee, I wouild tell you that once a place smells like their pee, cats will always pee there, as it smells like an "ok" place to pee. If it is only poop, I would wonder if maybe she is seeking attention. Is this chair I place where you spend a lot of time? Maybe he just wants you spend a little more time with him and not the other cats or doing other things? Just a thought
