Getting a flame started with an old acquaintance..?
Well, this is the last place I'd ever think of getting advice, but.. A little background; I'm coming off a failed, but what was, a serious long-distance relationship - we seperated over differences that we couldn't work out . It was my first serious relationship, and grew via phone, email, letters, and IM while she is at college in OR. I'm ready to start searching again, but closer to home..
I happened to be poking around Myspace and found an old friend. I haven't seen her in about 3 years, since I moved 55 miles or so east. We were acquaintances from church, and saw each other pretty often. I had a crush on her, but never had the guts to say (ahh being a kid). I contacted her, and she remembered me! I wrote a little note, but she's been kind of quiet - she told me how I can keep in touch, email, etc. I had a little "e-flower gift", so I sent it to her and she said "thanks!", but thats about it. I have a "charmer" personality, but I can't get it going....
I don't want to over-play my hand or come across too forward, but I just don't know how to get her attention and be there until she gets the hint I would like to get together sometime, and gives a yes/no type answer. Right now I'm just sitting on that little flower and message I sent, seeing what action she takes.
I'm just curious, what are somethings I can do to get a flame started with an old friend?
I want to take it slow, like a normal relationship - dating, and all of that.. But I just can't seem to get to that point yet.

Ask her if she'd like to catch up over dinner/lunch sometime.
